Saints-Bears Live-Blog Pregame

So I'm not going to be able to do the NBA game today, and I apologize. I'll be here for the NFC Championship, so I'll see you then. In the meantime here is your game preview and a quote from Rick Majerus yesterday to get you by.

"Watch Kansas they look like Buddy Holly in an ice storm"- Majerus after Texas Tech grabbed an offensive rebound and Kansas just stood around looking lost.

So it comes down to this for the team that will ultimately lose to the AFC in the SuperBowl (or that's what the media wants us to believe).

New Orleans has never made a title game, and Sean Payton looks to take a city known for hosting SuperBowls to the big game. It boils down to Brees and the Saints offense in this one, and Payton will most likely will spread the field and force the Bears into Nickel and Dime coverages.

The Bears have relied on a stellar defense all year, and have really lucked out in some situations. If a couple of plays/games don't go their way and this game might be in the Superdome. Luck is one of the key components during a championship run though, and if Rex Grossman is your QB it becomes even a bigger factor. Rex will have to be on his game in this one.....no more excuses or mistakes.

With all of that said......the biggest factor could be the weather. It's 31 and snowing in Chicago and Bears Fans live for this kind of thing. The spread is the Bears at -2.5, and I have no idea which way this is going to go. Leave your thoughts and predictions in the comments, and I'll see you at around 3pm.

Too many people like the Saints in this one, but I don't see many areas where Chicago has an advantage outside of the homefield and weather.

I suppose I like the Saints by a touchdown, Rextacy be damned.

The Chicago Bears are one game away from their first Super Bowl since 1985. They are a team of destiny and the only thing standing in their way is a team called the Saints and a forecast for snow. The official HE SAID SHE SAID prediction: Bears 24, Saints 17

Go Bears!

I'm pretty sure we are heading for a Saints/Patriots Super Bowl. Why do I think that? Cause God hates me, that's why.

All the "Saints have brought back hope to New Orleans" and Tom Brady man-worship is going to be too much to take.

Also, since I'll be in New Orleans next weekend for a little three-day vacation, I'm hoping for their citizens to be in a good mood and OH MY GOD PLEASE DON'T FUCKING SHOOT ME!

On the other hand, one of my girlfriend's friends was humping Alex Brown, and it makes me laugh when I think of a tiny Jewish girl humping a giant black man. It just does, I'm sorry. And I just kind of like Chicago for some reason.

Andouille, 28 - Polish, 20.

Weather ain't enough for me to pick da Bears. The Sex Cannon has a tendency to make the worst secondaries look like All-Pros.

Jay - it'll be worse if the Colts win. "Peyton Manning takes on his hometown and his dad's former team!"

Can someone do me a favor and shoot Chris Daughtry?

No more American Idol contestants singing the anthem, please.
