Rodney Harrison Tells Tom Brady To "Take His Skirt Off"

Monday, October 05, 2009

If anyone stuck around for the halftime show on Sunday Night Football, they were given a treat. Rodney Harrison decided to call out one of his former teammates, and it caught me so off guard, that I had to rewind it about seven times. Here's the clip if you missed it....

Obviously as a defensive player Harrison would side with Ray Lewis, but to call out his former quarterback like that is usually unheard of. It's no secret that the league protects quarterbacks, and is it wrong for Brady to lobby for the flag? Maybe, but it happens in every sport and really isn't a big enough deal to tell someone to "take their skirt off" though. Still, it was hilarious.

All's fair in love and war. Every QB in the league would have lobbied for a flag. There was almost no contact, but it was the knee that got bumped and Brady has got to be pretty defensive about it.

I don't think it deserved a flag, but I can't fault Brady for trying to draw one. Look at alomst any incompletion where the coverage is good. Receivers will look around for a flag. Why not a QB?

Ummm, Rodney, the ref through the flag in accordance with NFL rules. I don't really follow the skirt line. But I've never taken steroids so maybe that is why I don't understand.

Seriously, i can't believe this is even a story making the rounds on every website today. Rodney was joking. He was even smiling when he said it.

Blown out of proportions! The flag was flown, it was legit. Every WR in the league this week did the same thing trying to get a pass interference call. Some in Boston are comparing Brady to a soccer player. Soccer players get touched and fall down in tears. Brady gets touched, keeps standing.

Rodney was acting to get past his Homer tag.

Ray Lewis is still mad Brady blew him up for a TD.

i'm with Ray Lewis on this...Brady wasn't even touched, and it's not like Terrell Suggs was deliberately going for his knee, he got pushed...i think a roughing the passer penalty should only be called if indeed the passer is roughed, which he wasn't...he turns around and acts like a diva and motions for a flag, and the bitchass referee gives it to him...
